ZO2’s Best Week Ever!!! (06/09/09)

This past Sunday night, ZO2 and the cast and crew of Z Rock invited family, friends and fans to join them in celebrating the premiere of season two of Z Rock. NYC’s Webster Hall never rocked so hard! The producers kicked the night off by introducing a blooper reel that spared no one embarrassment and was a great source of amusement. The blooper clip was immediately followed by the premiere episode of Z Rock. And then the night really kicked into full gear. Lynne “Dina” Koplitz took the stage to introduce the rest of the evening with her own brand of hilarity. Jay “Neil” Oakerson followed making the audience ashamed of themselves as they laughed at topics that they probably wouldn’t repeat to their mothers. Then Jay introduced the main attraction, his good friends – ZO2!!! The band brought the house down with a little help from their friends as they played their original songs, including new music from their brand new CD, and invited guests up to help out on some classics. Blues Traveler and Z Rock alum, John Popper joined ZO2 for a rendition of “Run Around." Ex-Journey frontman, Steve Augeri, and keyboardist to everyone, Benny Harrison, joined the band on the new ZO2 song “Show Me” in which they both recorded on. Marky Ramone hit the drums while Jay Oakerson sang lead on “I Wanna Be Sedated.” And ZO2 brought everyone back out along with Twisted Sister’s Eddie Ojeda to wrap up the night with a rocking rendition of “We're An American Band.” It was a night no one will forget.

As if that’s not enough, today, Tuesday, June 9th, ZO2’s new CD, Casino Logic, and the DVD of Z Rock’s season one hit stores. You can find the CD at stores near you and online. The music is also available on iTunes. The DVD is also available in DVD section of stores everywhere. Also, don’t forget to get your season pass to season two of Z Rock on iTunes. Download the new episodes at midnight after they air each Sunday night.

Haircuts, New Songs and Billboard (06/05/09)

Not long ago, ZO2 was asked to judge the Worst Rock Haircuts for College Humor. The victims – er, contestants were passersby on the street – they spun the wheel and got their hair cut in the style chosen for them by chance. See what ZO2 had to say about their haircuts. Click here to check it out.

And, because no new album release is complete without previews, last week ZO2 put up the lead track, “Painted Lady”, from their new CD, Casino Logic, on their myspace music player. ZO2 - On the Road Again!!! FINALLY! (05/29/09)

Recording a new CD is great (who doesn't like new songs?). Filming your own TV series is exciting (who doesn't like seeing themselves on TV?). But performing live is exhilarating! And ZO2 is anxious to get back on the road. And the wait is finally over!

Z Rock Premiere Party CONTEST!!! (05/23/09)

THE NEWS IS OUT - On Sunday, June 7th, ZO2 and the entire cast of "Z Rock" will take over NYC's legendary Webster Hall for a rockin' premiere bash! As any entertainment junkie knows, these parties are reserved exclusively for those directly involved in a show, buttoned up business execs and famous friends. But ZO2 doesn't play by Hollywood's rules.

Unfortunately, through a "territoriality" technicality, opening the party to the public is impossible. But ZO2 ingeniously devised a solution - A CONTEST! And a contest open to anyone 19 years or older. Here it is (and it isn't hard so everyone is encouraged to enter):

***In 50 words or less, tell ZO2 why you want to be invited to the party. Simple answers are usually the best. Points for sincerity.

ZO2 Apologizes and Announces a New Show (02/15/09)

ZO2's show at Mercury Lounge on Friday, February 6th was a rousing success - completely sold out! Unfortunately that means that many of ZO2's loyal friends and fans couldn't get in. For that, the band wishes to send their sincerest apologies - in their own words:

"We never could have imagined being so conflicted about such a triumph. We want to thank everyone who came out, whether from near or far, to support us at our first Mercury Lounge show. We also sincerely apologize to everyone who stood in line in the cold and couldn't get in. We didn't anticipate a sold out show and feel badly that we didn't urge everyone to get their tickets early. In the future, we will include information regarding ticket availability and where to purchase in advance wherever possible.

In the meantime, we're looking forward to scheduling several more area shows before spring and hope to have a chance to see everyone at those shows. And to kick it off, we are excited to announce that we'll be opening once again for Bret Michaels at Mulcahy's in Wantagh, NY on Thursday, March 19th. Visit the Showz page to get more info. New Year, New Club, Same Great ZO2! (01/26/09)
